It was an evening to be remembered at Morven Manor when the retirement community organised a dance for the residents’ referral program. The staff and residents came together to socialise and boogie the night away. Events like these help our residents make connections with their fellow occupants and those in the wider community. Supporting and nurturing these meaningful relationships play a critical role in bolstering our wellbeing. We're excited to announce that Australian Unity reported $2.01 billion in social impact for the 2024 financial year! Now in its fourth release, "Our Impact 2024" demonstrates Australian Unity's commitment to invest in initiatives that support our three priority outcomes: lifelong wellness, economic empowerment, and strong communities. According to Darren Mann, Group Executive – Finance & Strategy and Chief Financial Officer, Australian Unity has undertaken significant portfolio-reshaping activity driven by the continued adoption of its CSV framework, which guides and informs the business’s investments in areas that can create greater and more efficient social impact. “In practice, this has informed the Group’s recent acquisition of myHomecare which has enabled us to increase the provision of home care services to some 50,000 Australians through our Home Health business and is expected to generate an additional ~$400m per annum in social impact value by FY27. “This value comes from supporting more Australians to age in place in their homes, which we know increases individual wellbeing, improves access to healthcare and alleviates the burden placed on hospitals.” Australian Unity remains committed to growing a sustainable portfolio of health, wealth and care businesses that deliver social impact to customers, members and the community. Congratulations to Walmsley resident Valerie who has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to the Deakin community. Valerie, who has been with the Baptist Church for 57 years, has spent most of this time volunteering for her community.  When her name was read out by the The Hon Michael Sukkar MP in the seniors' category, Valerie was apparently floored! Her smile definitely says it all.  At Australian Unity we truly connect, respect and make things possible for each of our residents. Our award-winning Better Together approach is at the heart of everything we do. As part of this commitment, we share regular stories about our communities and the extraordinary lives of our residents. Australian Unity reshapes and restructures for the future, delivering financial performance in line with trading update published in June 2024. In the announcement of FY2024 results, the Group reported Adjusted EBITDA of $75.8 million and a statutory loss after tax of $22.7 million, in the year to 30 June 2024. This result included significant costs related to material acquisitions and integration, business transformation and internal restructuring, which are consistent with the Group’s trading update published on 3 June 2024. “In the year under review, we have focused on shaping our portfolio of activities in line with our 10-year vision and have taken steps to support significant growth and development for the company and its social impact in the years ahead,” says Rohan Mead, Australian Unity’s Group Managing Director. “Focused on our strategic priorities, we are making fundamental changes to our operating models across the business, supported by material digital and technology initiatives, to secure ongoing efficiencies and support growth. In doing so, we have materially advanced a multi-year reshaping program that responds to our operating environment, including an ageing population and emerging community needs.” “Our focus for FY2025 is to successfully execute the transformation of our portfolio and its operational integration.” To read the full announcement, visit: https://lnkd.in/gZqUHtr3
