Was so great to be in the nations capital for the last few days to meet with political and public sector leaders and share the work of the amazing Advance To Zero communities across Australia. Thanks to the amazing Tim Richter CEO of the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness for being my #WingMan and sharing the progress and pitfalls from Canada that we need to learn from! Was able to share the importance of ending homlessness being the ambition of the national housing and homelessness plan being developed with new minister Clare O’Neil. Massive thanks to Louise Miller-Frost MP - B App Sc, MA, MPH, MBA, FAICD for setting up a briefing for Labor MP’s. Great to chat with Max Chandler-Mather Greens spokesperson on homlessness and housing about all things supportive housing. #HomelessnessIsSolvable #HousingIsAHumanRight #EveryonesHome

📣 This week is Homelessness Week. We're in the midst of a housing crisis, but we know that ending homelessness is possible. Right now, over 122,000 people in Australia are without a home on any given night. This isn't just a statistic – it's a call to action. Homelessness is preventable and solvable. With safe, affordable housing, adequate incomes and the right support, homelessness can be rare, brief and once-off. This year, the Federal Government is releasing its 10-year National Housing and Homelessness Plan. For it to make a real difference, we need it to be ambitious, delivering the resources and reforms needed to end homelessness for good. We need homelessness action now. Join us in signing this petition by Homelessness Australia and Everybody's Home calling on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to set an ambition to end homelessness in a decade: https://buff.ly/3OvUX8X #HomelessnessIsSolvable #HW2024
