Meet former bank teller and now customer consultant, Gail McKenzie. When we announced our ambitions to become a digital bank, Gail took the opportunity to reskill and expand her skills and experience to serve our customers digitally. As we celebrate NAIDOC Week, hear from Finance Analyst and proud Yinggarda man, Cobain Lawrance on his journey at Bankwest and how CareerTrackers has supported his development.   Our partnership with CareerTrackers is just one way we’re committed to supporting First Nations communities, and to date, has provided nine internships to First Nations students, helping them build their skills, knowledge and experience within the banking sector.

We’re proud to be Telethon’s longest standing partner supporting since it all started in 1968 and have committed to continuing our partnership for years to come. So far, our colleagues have donated around 10,000 hours to volunteer at Telethon, with Paul (pictured) putting his hand up in the very first year!
