One of the hallmarks of the Beef Australia program is the international program and international agenda, featuring the Handshakes Program. In this episode of What's Your Beef, we'll hear in real terms what that means for not just for the Australian beef industry, but for the networks and friendships working in it. Beef Australia proudly presented the AgriFutures evokeAG Pitch In The Paddock event at Beef2024. Eight finalists went head-to-head with their beef-focused business ideas, proofs of concept, prototypes, or new products to the live audience and panel of investors. We caught up with finalist Rob Kelly from Agora Livestock to hear his thoughts on the program. BA: How did you find the PITP program? Rob: It was the best run startup pitch competitions we have been in! BA: How has it helped you since? Rob: We have used the footage provided from PITP to help promote our business elsewhere. To try and create that footage on our own would have been expensive. And having judges and an audience in the footage ads credibility to the event and the entire competition. Agora Livestock is an integrated solution connecting livestock seller, agents and buyers. It was a pleasure working with Clean Vibes on Beef2024! How about those stats 👏🏼🍃
Clean Vibes had the privilege of providing waste management to Beef Australia, Australia’s premier beef industry event, in May this year in Rockhampton. Here's a recap of what we achieved: ♻ 60.42% of waste was saved from landfill at Beef 2024. That's over 40 tonnes that can be recycled or composted. Un-beeflievable 🥤 132, 658 containers recycled, which is equivalent to about 181,475 hours OR 10,888,500 moo-nutes of powering your TV! 🐄 3 bad puns. We'd make another one but let's not milk it.
