Today, we launched a new microsite with resources on nurturing mental wellness and cultivating compassion in the workplace. Everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from, should have the chance to get the help and support they need. We can all contribute by remembering to occasionally stop, pause and connect with ourselves, our friends and colleagues. 💛 This R U OK? Day, Australians are encouraged to create space for meaningful conversations. The first step is asking how someone is doing, but genuinely listening to the answer is key. Make sure you're giving your mate, colleague, family member or loved one the right environment to open up; you know when they feel most at ease, so take some time to think about where and how you can be fully there for them. Choose a time and place where you can give your full attention, free of distractions. Create a situation where the person you're asking feels comfortable discussing difficult thoughts, feelings or emotions, and tie it to something that makes sense to you both, for example, a walk in the park or a sit-down over coffee.
