BLUE TREE ON ANTARCTICA! It’s official - we can call ourselves a GLOBAL movement with a blue tree now on every continent of the world! A huge thanks to Abbie Norrish who recently took part in a 19-day leadership voyage with 87 women in STEM. Abbie was accepted into Homeward Bound Projects for her work in chronic pain with Pain Revolution. A not-for-profit organisation changing the way rural and regional communities understand persistent pain through a whole-of-community approach. Abbie said first-hand experience of and recovery from chronic pain, coupled with her Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Professional Certificate in Pain Science, shaped her future as a physiotherapist and led to her work with Pain Revolution.

Today, at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Racing Club, we announced a major partnership with Blue Tree Project to mark the official launch of our Racing WA Community Fund.   The 50 racetracks across our State are more than just venues, they serve as vital hubs which foster community connection and provide unwavering support, particularly in regional and remote towns.    A painted blue tree symbolises that "it's OK to not be OK", with the tree painted today the first of many we plan to paint to serve as a poignant reminder to never shy away from a challenging conversation, especially those related to mental health. Additionally, Blue Tree Project will play an integral role in facilitating mental health workshops at race clubs, providing practical resources and extending much-needed support.   A heartfelt thanks to Kendall Whyte for her tireless efforts and Regional Development Minister Don Punch, Ali Kent MLA, Kyle McGinn MLC, Federal Member for O'Connor Rick Wilson, Goldfields Variety and City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor Glenn Wilson for rolling up their sleeves and joining us to launch this meaningful endeavour. Together, let’s continue to make a positive difference.
