  • Joint announcement from the Sutherland & Regan families regarding Burlington Berries Pty Ltd. We are pleased to announce that after a decade plus of working in partnership, and in line with our succession plan, the Sutherland Family have purchased the Regan Family’s 50% share in Burlington Berries Pty Ltd. They now take ownership of the whole of the company. This has been a long term strategy for Burlington’s future and is testament to the rapid growth of the business towards a more mature entity growing some of the most delicious berries in Australia. Jon Regan, exiting Chairman, said “ Marion and I have loved working with the Sutherland Family building the business to what it is today and experiencing growing in another hemisphere. The time is now right for change and the continued future of Burlington Berries is with the next generation. I have every faith in the Sutherlands to ensure a vibrant growing berry business in Australia and the beautiful state of Tasmania. " Kate Sutherland, Managing Director, said "Stewart and I are very excited to be taking Burlington Berries into the next decade and beyond. We are building our future growth on a strong foundation with an experienced and dedicated team including our daughters Libby and Sophie. We would like to thank the Regan Family for their significant involvement since 2012 and look forward to future expansion and developments” 📷 Stewart and Kate Sutherland and daughters (L to R), Libby, Charlotte, Sophie and Emma.

  • Every year we're fortunate to welcome many of our seasonal workers from the beautiful Polynesian island country of Samoa. Today is Samoan Independence Day, and we would like to take a moment to thank all of our Samoan friends, recognise their contribution to our farm and community, and wish them all the very best as they celebrate this special day in the Samoan calendar!

Our End Of Season Awards and Show was an opportunity for us to thank individuals and teams who go above and beyond and to recognise their achievements. A wonderful evening of community, singing, dancing and celebration. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the farm this harvest. Whether you came from across the globe or just around the corner, your commitment to our business is valued and we hope to see you again next year! - THANKYOU

  • At Burlington Berries nothing goes to waste, and because we are a vertically integrated business what can be considered waste in one area of our operation can be of high value in another area. Take these waste berries for example, whilst we can't sell them, the cattle that are part of our Burlington Farming operation can't get enough of them! It's just another way that we look to produce our berries in a sustainable way that mimimises waste at every opportunity. On this International Day of Zero waste, we would like to highlight how agriculture can work towards zero waste and encourage sustainable production and consumption habits.

  • Today is 'World Water Day' and at Burlington Berries, we would like to recognise how essential and fundamental this precious resource is to our farm and agriculture more broadly. Using the latest in irrigation and fertigation techniques, our water usage is closely monitored in an effort to maximise productiveness and minimise wastage. As the United Nations says this World Water Day, "We all need to unite around water and use water for peace, laying the foundations of a more stable and prosperous tomorrow
