About 10 years ago, #Queensland lost one of its most Amazing Women to Cancer 🕊. Not only was Rose-Anne Kelso committed to foster better #Health outcomes for Queenslanders through her work with Diabetes Australia and Australian Physiotherapy Association, but she also believed in supporting and encouraging women to reach their full potential 💪. As a loving mother of five children, known as an enthusiastic, determined, caring, and upfront problem-solver, Rose-Anne positively impacted the lives of many Queenslanders around her 🙌 . Sadly, I have never met Rose-Anne. Yet, I feel we have a lot in common, including an infectious passion for Science, Women and Networking (and raising many children!). As a dedicated #Scientist in #LifeSciences and #BiomedicalSciences 🔬 working with Industry, Clinicians and the Community to improve cancer treatment in Queensland at QUT (Queensland University of Technology), Translational Research Institute Australia, I am humbled to be 1 of the 4 Life Sciences Queensland Ltd (LSQ) awards finalists for Rose-Anne’s commemorative award, sponsored by Stockwell. We do this by looking at biomechanics when lying, spinal anatomy and posture, and other factors that may influence a person’s sleep quality at night. So, searching for healthy adults aged 35 – 55 years old who have a healthy to mid-overweight BMI.
