We had the privilege of delivering a training session to the incredible Reclink Australia staff on "Winning Culture through Cultural Awareness", alongside Centre for Multicultural Youth's training team. We kicked off with an online session late June, and held a face-to-face session last week - we are so grateful to the Reclink team for their generous contributions and enthusiastic participation. Reclink operates across Australia to improve the lives of disadvantaged people through #sports and #recreation. Thank you Reclink for your commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally aware environment. We hope the training was meaningful for your team and participants took away some helpful learnings from the sessions. At #CMSport, we are dedicated to using the power of sport to promote #multiculturalism, #inclusion, and community engagement. Together, we are building a stronger, more welcoming community.

Thanks to Life Saving Victoria for inviting CMSport and Centre for Multicultural Youth to be part of the Multicultural Water Safety Workshop last week. On Day 1, our Senior Project Officer, Junior, participated as a panelist and engaged with the audience in a vital conversation on partnerships: 👉 The importance of partnerships and mutual expectations 👉 Examples of successful partnerships 👉 Identifying funders and their role in our financial model 👉 The significance of key community champions On Day 2, Carmel Guerra OAM, CEO of CMY, delivered an insightful presentation on the barriers multicultural communities face in accessing water safety training, and what organisations can do to build trust and engage these communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an important conversation and look forward to continuing our work in making water safety accessible to all communities.
