People are at the core of what we do at CleanCo Queensland. We’re all about creating a cleaner, more sustainable future for Queensland, and we’re looking for #students who share that passion to join us. Meet Alejandro: Alejandro stepped into CleanCo for his first corporate role with a mix of excitement and a few nerves. He wondered if he’d find his place—Would his ideas be valued? Would he fit in? It didn’t take long for him to feel at home. "This was my first corporate job, and I was really scared at first that I wouldn't fit in, but everyone was so welcoming. I’m encouraged to speak my mind, and it’s so inspiring to work with brilliant, passionate people," he shares. Now, Alejandro’s immersed in projects that are shaping the future of clean energy in Queensland, surrounded by a team that’s just as driven to make a difference as he is. Why Join Us? If you're studying Engineering, Data Science, Research, Environmental, IT, or Legal, this is your chance to get involved in real-world projects that are helping shape Queensland’s energy future. From modelling wind and solar farms to exploring innovative energy solutions, you’ll be in the thick of it, working with some of the industry’s best. When? Join us from Nov 24 to Feb 25 for a summer experience that could lead to something more. Ready to make a difference? Send your resume to [email protected]. We can’t wait to see what we can achieve together. #CleanCo #RenewableEnergy #Undergrad #CleanEnergyFuture #JoinUs

We’re on a mission that goes beyond energy generation. We’re committed to creating a net zero future where Queensland’s natural beauty and its thriving economy work hand in hand. It’s a mission that requires not just technology, but people who are passionate about making a difference. That’s why Sam Gibbons-Smith is reaching out to those who share this vision. We’re looking for an Environmental Manager—someone who sees the bigger picture and understands the vital role that environmental stewardship plays in our journey towards a sustainable future. In this role, you’ll lead a dedicated team, driving the environmental strategy that will guide our operations across some of Queensland’s most beautiful and iconic sites, like Kareeya and Barron Gorge Hydros. It’s about more than just compliance; it’s about fostering a culture where our commitment to the environment is at the heart of everything we do. What makes this opportunity special? It’s the chance to be part of a passionate, inclusive team that’s dedicated to something bigger than ourselves. It’s the opportunity to work with nature, to visit stunning locations regularly, and to see firsthand how your work contributes to a cleaner future for Queensland. If you have the experience, the leadership skills, and the drive to make a real impact, we would love to connect and discuss how you can help us shape Queensland’s energy future. Let’s make a difference together 👇

Errol Schoenfisch started his career in the Queensland Electricity Industry in January 1979! As an Apprentice Electrical Fitter Mechanic he worked at Swanbank Power Station before later specialising to become an Electrician Special Class.   In 1996, Errol joined Wivenhoe Pumped Hydro as an Electrical Technician, and in 2000, he went on to spend time at Tarong where he was part of a project to implement the Ellipse ERP system, before returning to Wivenhoe where he is today.   Errol made significant contributions to the control system refit at Wivenhoe that began around 2011. At the time, the existing control system was only just holding together, and the resulting modernised system is a real achievement by all those involved and has proved invaluable to Wivenhoe’s flexibility and value in the electricity market.   If there is one thing Errol has learned from his time in the industry it is to never stop learning - take every opportunity and never knock back a chance to learn new things.   Congratulations on 45 years, Errol.

We're thrilled to share our latest initiative through the CleanCo Community Futures Fund, where we've partnered with the Djabugay Aboriginal Corporations to install a 13-kilowatt solar system on their estate in Kuranda. This $10,000 grant has already made an impact, saving them money on their electricity bills and allowing them to do important work in horticulture, conservation and so much more. At CleanCo, we're committed to building vibrant, sustainable, and resilient communities. This is part of our long-term relationship with the Djabugay People, as we work together to support their environmental stewardship and economic development initiatives. #CleanEnergy #CommunityFutures #SustainableCommunities #Djabugay #SolarEnergy #CleanCo
