What a milestone! 🎉     We celebrated Climate Friendly's 21st birthday with an incredible event at actor and regenerative farmer Rachel Ward's farm in northern NSW.     Held on the traditional lands of the Gumbainggir people, the event explored the future of carbon farming, natural capital accounting and nature repair.     Thanks to our valued partners who, through their projects, have helped store 30 million tonnes of carbon in the  landscape to date, regenerating native forests and restoring complex ecosystems to protect endangered native animals and birds.     A big thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey.     To limit global warming, we must rapidly expand carbon farming across the continent. Here’s to the future, tackling climate change and repairing nature together.      Enjoy some highlights from this unforgettable day below.

The Carbon Market Institute (CMI) Singapore Carbon Market & Investor Forum is underway at a pivotal moment for climate action. This year’s forum is bringing together stakeholders from across the Asia Pacific region to drive high-impact climate solutions. Climate Friendly's Jon Cook, CA, GAICD and Gavin Livingston are attending the event, representing Climate Friendly and adding valuable insights to the discussions. The annual forum plays a key role in shaping the future of carbon markets and supporting the collective ambition to tackle climate change. As international market linkages and voluntary climate actions gain momentum, and new technologies and services come online, the event is crucial for understanding and leveraging emerging market opportunities. By fostering collaboration among professionals, investors, and policymakers, the forum strengthens relationships, helping accelerate global climate action. #Carbon #ClimateAction

To mark World Ranger Day, we acknowledge the important work of the Indigenous Githabul Rangers of northern NSW.   Among the Githabul Rangers’ sustainable land management practices is cultural burning. As practiced by their ancestors for tens of thousands of years, cultural burning nurtures the land while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.  In partnership with WWF-Australia, our northern NSW Koala Friendly Carbon initiative benefits from the Githabul Rangers' expertise and practical participation. Thank you Githabul Rangers for helping restore natural ecosystems that will be havens for endangered species, including koalas and glossy black cockatoos. #WorldRangerDay #Rangers #CulturalBurning

A terrific day this week at Climate Friendly's 21st birthday - to spend the day with like-minded business partners and landholders, focused on nature-based solutions to address global emissions. We travelled to the beautiful Nambucca Valley to meet on Rachel Ward's farm to hear more about her journey to regenerate ecological outcomes in farming, with farm manager Mick Green; and Then we spoke about some incredible work Climate Friendly is doing with business partners: a) developing a comprehensive natural capital standard; b) collaborating to develop the Intergrated Farm & Land Management (IFLM) method; and c) the wonderful "Koala Credits" method - working with WWF-Australia to restore 10,000ha of koala habitat, given this native Australian marsupial is now an endangered species since 2022. Skye Glenday Josh Harris Lorraine Gordon Freddy Sharpe Carolyn Hall Natasha Greenwood GAICD Esthel Verma Andrew Stevenson #sustainableagriculture #carbonmarkets #carbonfarming Definitely recommend watching "Rachel's Farm" which documents her journey towards practices that rebuild nature and biodiversity in farming systems: https://lnkd.in/gZKeN4kk

A big thank you to our valued partners and team who helped celebrate 21 years of Climate Friendly’s achievements.    A special event, hosted by actor and regenerative farmer Rachel Ward and her land manager Mick Green, gave us a "sneak peek" into the future with integrated natural capital, nature repair, carbon farming and sustainable agricultural production opportunities for land managers, all linked through a harmonised land management strategy.    It was a special way to mark our 21-year milestone, and we lived up to our values and “seriously had fun”!

Happy International Mangrove Day!    Mangroves play a crucial role in mitigating climate change by sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and storing it in their biomass and sediments. Their dense root systems also provide vital habitats for diverse marine life, contributing to coastal resilience and biodiversity conservation worldwide. Let's celebrate and protect these invaluable ecosystems for a sustainable future! #WorldMangroveDay
