Last week, DBI proudly sponsored the inaugural Parliamentary Friends of Creativity event on Speakers' Green at Parliament House. State Ministers, Shadow Ministers, MPs, and Brisbane's brightest creatives came together to discuss the impact of creativity and the arts in securing Brisbane's place on the world stage. The event featured a moving Welcome to Country by Waveney Yasso, a talented Brisbane-based singer/songwriter and proud South Sea and Yuwi Burra descendant—impassioned speeches from the Hon Grace Grace MP, Collab. Patrons Jonty Bush MP and John-Paul Langbroek MP, as well as Collab.
