  • Last week, The Western Trade Coast Infrastructure Strategy was launched by the Hon Roger Cook MLA to members of the Global Advanced Industries Hub Ministerial Taskforce and Industry Reference Group. 📄 The Premier thanked all members, including industry, government and Aboriginal representatives for their collaborative efforts throughout the development of the Strategy, and also acknowledged the efforts of industry associations advocating for their members including the Kwinana Industries Council and Henderson Alliance. Developed by Arup, this Strategy aims to transform and future-proof the Western Trade Coast with 12 targeted strategies across: 🚆 transport ⚓ maritime ⚙️ utilities 🏗️ land use 📜 policy and regulatory frameworks The Strategy factors in and supports the development of Westport – the WA Government’s future container terminal. 🚢🏗️ The Strategy outlines options for infrastructure development to support the growth of existing and future industries in the Western Trade Coast. This Strategy will be used to inform and guide government investment decisions over time and provides government and industry with greater oversight and visibility of infrastructure options in the region.
