The team were excited to come across this little critter during field work last night. Once common throughout south-east Australia, Growling Grass frogs are now listed as ‘threatened with extinction’ in Victoria and ‘vulnerable’ nationally. Monitoring and research are crucial for understanding population trends and identifying specific threats and vital to ensure survival of the species. Photo by Lauren Sandy – Field Ecologist
