𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂!!!!! There’s been an incredible response to our 2025 apprentice recruitment which closed this week. Nearly 6500 Queenslanders threw their hats into the ring: a record number of applications, and the highest calibre we’ve ever seen. Now, we’re burning the midnight oil to give people clarity about where they stand. Around 75% of applicants will be invited to undergo online testing. This step will identify the candidates who will progress to video interviews and further testing, ahead of in-person sessions at our assessment centres in August. After this rigorous selection process, we expect to welcome 185 new starters to Energex and Ergon Energy in our Class of 2025. We also know that huge numbers of applications mean a lot of disappointed people. Those who didn’t make the cut should hold their heads high - these are some of the most sought-after apprenticeships in the country, and the competition this year was fiercer than ever. Due to the sheer volume of applications, we can’t provide individual feedback, but we strongly encourage those who have their heart set on an apprenticeship with us to apply again next year – lots of our apprentices to earn their spot after multiple attempts.
