THAT'S A WRAP... As we head into the weekend the EWIT team want to share our gratitude for the week that was. Our amazing village has yet again shown up in force to support the #30by30 vision, working together to redefine gender norms and smash through the glass ceiling. Some of the highlights from this week: 1- An epic schools' program for 18 students at Dromana College who took a deep dive into the world of Electrical & Brick Laying. 2- Oellen joined the EWIT Alliance as one of our founding members! 3- A Kicking Goals in Trades program for the second year running out at Community College Gippsland for 20 students who got hands on in electrical and plumbing. 4- Networking with the brilliant humans from Anthem Workwear Pty Ltd & Workforce Australia - Local Jobs - Inner Metropolitan Melbourne #watchthispsace 5- Delivered a session for the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation to support to redefine careers and reshape the way women believe a career should look. Feedback this week from a teacher at our KGIT Program at CCG: I loved getting them outside for the teamwork activity and seeing them using problem solving skills and communication was great because it links directly to our curriculum. To our epic village: Jonno McCartney, Brick and Block Careers, McCartney Electrical Solutions, Jacqueline Dunbar, Duncan St Baker, Sean Creasey Chisholm Institute Skills & Jobs Centre, North Melbourne FC, Laing O'Rourke, DuluxGroup, CSR Limited, DEWALT, RedZed, Fiona Purcell, Caryn McKeon, Melinda Davis, Alexandra Marcocci, Rachel Mills, Naomi Fitzgerald, Hacia- YOU ARE AMAZING! Our team were out at Hampton Park Secondary College recently to deliver a Kicking Goals in Trades program to 21 eager year 9 students to introduce them to the world of trades. The smiles on the students' faces were infectious as we constructed planter boxes, learnt how to strip wires with Jonno McCartney from McCartney Electrical Solutions and discovered how important trades are to the community. Great to have Sean Creasey from the Chisholm Institute Skills & Jobs Centre with us for the program, they do brilliant work in the community. Big thanks to North Melbourne FC and Freestyle partners DEWALT, Laing O'Rourke, DuluxGroup, RedZed and CSR Limited. #pipeline #30by30 #pipeline #ittakesavillage
