The Queensland Government has committed $2.75 billion to the rail project connecting Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast. Construction on the first stage is set begin in 2026 and be complete by the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Queensland’s Deputy Premier and Transport Minister have requested an additional $1.15 billion from the Federal Government to deliver the project. In addition to speeding up transport during and beyond the Games, the project is likely unlock more housing possibilities and job opportunities for one of our fastest-growing regions.
