2024 marks 5 years of working with the awesome team at Infravision It has been incredible to watch them scale internationally and see so much success during this time... Reflecting on John William's (Director of Aviation) during his time where he has these kind words to share: "Infravision founders Cam Van Der Berg and Chris Cox witnessed first-hand the catastrophic risk posed by traditional methods of power line maintenance and assembly, and saw an opportunity to significantly improve safety practices in the sector." "With the help of FlyFreely, Infravision are now also able to scale the business more effectively." "What was once a convoluted and time-consuming process is now straight-forward because everyone knows what they need to do.” “We can do multiple different operations at once at a higher standard. It’s unreal,” “I can pick up the phone any time of the day and talk to a member of the FlyFreely team. The relationship we have is an incredible value-add. FlyFreely’s software is continuing to improve and become more responsive to its customers’ needs." We look forward to the next 5 years working along side such a great team! 👉 Here is the link to the 1-page case study: https://bit.ly/3WUm2qv #drones #uav #rpas

Does BARS replace CASA regulations? If I get my BARS certification - does that mean I still need to do my CASA obligations? It has been a privilege to work with Tom and Seymour Whyte team over the past couple of years. Although Tom retired this year, he has left a long lasting positive impact not only to Seymour White, but to our FlyFreely team as well. We wanted to share some wonderful feedback he gave us during an interview in his CRP role. “Before FlyFreely, I was spending a significant portion of my days chasing up our pilots, when it could’ve been better spent elsewhere." “It was then that FlyFreely was recommended to me.” "The platform had been instrumental in ensuring all flying processes and procedures were followed. Without them, there would have been the potential not only for crashes, but also fines from CASA. The time, cost and risk savings had been immeasurable. “The fact of the matter is, what was meant to be getting done previously wasn’t getting done,” “People weren’t going through all of the right procedures, and then we introduced the FlyFreely software, and now they are.” "Seymour Whyte’s drone operations have doubled since it started working with the company. It has also developed an induction training course, featuring a run-through of the platform, for all new pilots." "FlyFreely provides more than just technical support, having introduced Seymour Whyte to other providers when it fell outside their scope of work. They've gone above and beyond to help us get the job done,” Tom's kind words and support have been invaluable - and we wish him all the best into his retirement as we continue his good work with the SW team! #drones #uav #rpas #construction

Many great years working with the Glencore Australia and it's only getting better! We interviewed Andrew Sutherland about a case study on his experience working with FlyFreely and he had this to say: ⚠️ Challenge: Glencore Australia embarked on its commercial drone journey eight years ago. Starting with individual sites exploring sub-2kg drones, the company transitioned to a centralized ReOC system covering 34 sites in 4 states and encompassing 300+ pilots with 140+ RPAS. As Glencore scaled its drone operations, inconsistencies arose. Different sites had divergent approaches to RPAS management and lacked a standardized system. Some even relied on in-house solutions. This fragmented approach created complexities for the Andrew, making it nearly impossible to monitor operations and maintain CASA compliance. 🏆Solution - FlyFreely: After an exhaustive search, Glencore partnered with FlyFreely. The FlyFreely team stood out with their upfront honesty and genuine interest in addressing Glencore's challenges. Andrew's favourite aspects of FlyFreely: ✅ Offline Capability: The Field App's functionality in areas with minimal network access revolutionized the way pilots recorded data. ✅ Comprehensive Tracking: From DJI Log captures to visual flight planning and maintenance tracking, every detail of a flight is documented. ✅ Uniformity Across Sites: Regardless of the site size, all sites now operate with the same checklists, schedules, and workflows. ✅ Enhanced Training: The dummy data feature streamlined training, with one site going live just 15 minutes post- training. We are excited to step into FY25 with Andrew and the Glencore team as they go strength to strength in drone operations. If you'd like to hear more or see how FlyFreely might work for your mine site - feel free to DM us for a demo / chat. #drones #RPAS #mining

Congrats again to the awesome team at Alexander Symonds on their new BARS accreditation! Make sure to join our webinar next week to hear all about it👇
**Alexander Symonds Achieves BARS Accreditation for RPAS Operations** We're thrilled to announce that Alexander Symonds has recently received BARS (Basic Aviation Risk Standard) certification for our RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) operations. This milestone sets a new benchmark for our commitment to safety and excellence in high-risk industries, including mining, resources, and energy. To share insights from our BARS journey, we're joining a webinar with FlyFreely featuring our Chief Remote Pilot, Tyson Hillyard. With over 20 years of experience in the surveying industry and a deep passion for spatial sciences, Tyson will discuss what BARS certification means for contractors, the changes it brings, and what happens behind the scenes to maintain this higher standard of operation. 🗓 Thursday 15th August 2024 ⏰ 11:30am ACST 📍 https://lnkd.in/gBRx2r6y #AlexanderSymonds #BARS #RPAS #DroneSafety #Webinar #Flyfreely

❗NEW WEBINAR: An interview with Alexander Symonds Chief Pilot. BARS makes complete sense as a system level risk mitigation improvement for high risk industries - but where does this leave their contractors? ⌚When: 15th August, 12pm AEST 🧑Who: Tyson Hillyard, Alexander Symonds Chief Pilot ℹ️ Details: BARS is becoming the Gold Standard of standards for high risk drone operations in the mining, resources and power industries. Since its inception in 2009, it has already proven to reduce the number of fatalities in the global resource sector by >96%. BARS makes complete sense as a system level risk mitigation improvement for high risk industries - but where does this leave their contractors? A higher standard has meant greater expectations on contractors who wish to operate across these sites. So what does this look like? What will have to change? What are the benefits? And how best should they prepare? Join us at our next Webinar where we will be interviewing Alexander Symonds Chief Remote Pilot, Tyson Hillyard, as he unpacks his BARS journey as a contractor in the resource sector and addresses these questions live. What are the 3 main benefits of BARS accreditation? 💡 Reduced frequency of loss of controls events and re-work events. The comprehensive training and maintenance regimes required by BARS improves the reliability of the fleet and quality of data capture. This has the effect of reducing operational costs and capability downtime. 💡 A reduced frequency of non-conformance events that could result in non-compliance with either company policies or regulations. While the benefit of avoiding non-compliance is difficult to quantify it provides confidence to management that critical business risks are controlled 💡The comprehensive processes and procedures required by BARS similar to those required by regulators for more complex operations such as Beyond-line-of-sight (BVLOS), operations over people or operation of large RPA. Obtaining BARS accreditation positions an organisation to quickly graduate to more complex operations with ease. Follow along for more BARS content, and ask us about joining our BARS waiting list where we'll be sharing updates on all the new BARS tools we will be releasing in the coming months! #rpas #bars #drones #uav
