We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. Foreva/Freyssinet Techniques At Their Best It was 2020 when we embarked on an incredible journey with HQ Apartments.   This 9-storey complex with over 60 stunning apartments based in Brisbane required a Façade Facelift and Freyssinet was the contractor for the job.   Project Highlights: Façade Facelift: We completely removed and reconstructed 3600m² of the external façade, giving the building a fresh, modern look with high-grade architectural finishes. Advanced Waterproofing: Applied over Rockcote Acrylic render, ensuring the building remains protected for years to come. Innovative Access Solutions: With rope access and strategic scaffolding, we tackled 25% of the building at a time, maintaining safety and efficiency. Dust & Noise Control: We worked diligently to minimize disruptions, creating a more comfortable environment for everyone. Work Schedule: We swiftly completed the project across 56 weeks, with four to six units decanted at any given time. Pandemic Perks: While gyms were shut down during the height of COVID, our team got their cardio climbing up and down the scaffolding on this project! 💪😅   Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come! Freyssinet recently had the pleasure of presenting our Corrosion Remediation skills to our key client AGL for their Macquarie region team. Freyssinet has worked with this team for many years continuing to grow our relationship building trust in our promise to deliver projects of the highest quality. Through this presentation Freyssinet was able to showcase to AGL our extensive knowledge in remediating structures and managing corrosion control, presenting our knowledge of protective coatings, waterproofing and quality assurance when it comes to asset renewal.   We discussed with AGL how Freyssinet can assist not only in project delivery but also in early stage condition assessments, something we already do in the concrete remediation space but now a key part of our protective coatings and corrosion control skillset. We also highlighted Freyssinet's PCCP Level 6 accreditation and our numerous employees trained in Hazardous Paint Management and Compliance. This would allow us to pinpoint for AGL any Hazardous coatings pre-existing on older assets and provide the appropriate controls to manage this. Finally, we went over some case studies discussing the range of projects Freyssinet delivers, from Commercial assets such as Stadium Australia, to private assets like AGL infrastructure and also public assets showcasing our works for TfNSW and Sydney Trains in recent years.   It was a great experience to spearhead the development of this presentation with the Newcastle Hunter Valley Team and discuss with our client all things Coatings and Remedial Engineering.   If you have an interest in hearing about our extensive remedial engineering skill set feel free to reach out to us and we can look to schedule in a presentation or a meeting.

It was also a momentus week for Freyssinet Australia because we launched our first Reconciliation Action Plan. By developing and launching the RAP, we wish to acknowledge the difficult history experienced by the First Nations community and state our commitment to be more proactive in our efforts to be part of the reconciliation process. We will do this by developing closer partnership and engagement with indigenous representatives across various functions of our business activities. Freyssinet Australia has just about wrapped up our works at Bulga Bridge for our client. It has been a privilege for us to help renew a heritage asset so important to the local community and the wider Hunter Valley area. Safely removing the existing, historic lead-based coating and making future maintenance works easier the team delivered on schedule even after some flooding, heavy rains, and crazy winds all without any incidents, NCRs or major near misses! 📢 On Tuesday 14th May, we hosted GRIPPS and Height Dynamics for a Lunch & Learn on working at heights and dropped object protection.   GRIPPS and Height Dynamics are dedicated to eliminating critical risks and saving worker’s lives, through the implementation of innovative tool tethering and falling object prevention solutions, something that we are committed to at Freyssinet.
