Our GAP SA team love getting out and about and introducing as many people as they can to our greyhounds! Milky and Red visited the team at SA Power Networks this week giving out free pats, cuddles and information on how to adopt or foster a greyhound.

On Saturday our Greyhounds As Pets team hosted their first Pat 'n' Sip Adoption Day at Angle Park and it was a great success! On a cold and rainy day, it was heart-warming to see so many people come along to meet our greyhounds in a relaxed environment and chat with our staff. It was even more pleasing that 12 greyhounds found their forever homes on the day. 😍

Congratulations to Chris McDermott on his induction into the AFL Hall of Fame - what an amazing achievement! Chris has been a great supporter of Greyhounds As Pets throughout our partnership with Little Heroes Foundation and we send our congratulations.

The GCA Nationals are coming to South Australia this year. We will invite our interstate counterparts to experience iconic South Australia as they travel over the border for a huge day of racing on Saturday August 24. The National Straight Track Championship will kick things off on Saturday morning at Murray Bridge before the action heads to Angle Park for the Group 1 National Sprint and Distance Championships for a fantastic night of racing. Stay tuned to our socials for more information as we get closer to the date.

The GAP team had a great time at The Pet Expo on the weekend with the stall getting plenty of interest from event-goers. We had a heap of applications to adopt and foster come from the event and some of our greyhounds who attended on the day even found their furr-ever homes! Well done to the team on their fantastic work on the stall - it looked amazing!

It is generally advisable not to take work home with you - but when its a greyhound, its hard to resist! Our marketing team member Madeleine started working with GRSA and GAP in June 2023 and by January she had adopted her first grey, Milky! That has to be some kind of record! It certainly didn't take her long to fall in love with the breed and make the decision with her partner Sam to adopt. The Tara Tipsters group at the Mount Gambier Greyhound Racing Club has been hard at it again, raising much needed cash for local charity 'Four Reasons Why'. The $1,500 donation will go towards providing support and assistance for local families in need. Well done again to the group who continue to find local groups to support and also, give them a great day out at the races.

GAP was invited to present to the Seniors of Ridleyton group for the City Of Charles Sturt Ageing Well program today. Attendees were told all about the program and our greyhounds with plenty of time reserved for pats and cuddles too.
