Recently, the Western Australian Commissioner for Children and Young People published a series of discussion papers on youth justice, health and mental health, education and child protection. We welcomed the opportunity to respond to these papers. In particular, we highlighted: ➡️ the need to respond to young people’s needs holistically, particularly for young people in contact with the youth justice system; ➡️ how to engage with young people to ensure their voice is heard in the design, development and delivery of services. The program offers two years of on-the-job training, combined with a diversity of experience and access to long-term career opportunities.
