Leading Herald Sun sports journalist Sam Landsberger has died aged 35 after a traffic accident in Richmond on Tuesday morning. Landsberger was a highly accomplished and much-loved member of the Herald Sun and Code Sports teams where his appetite for hard work, ability to find a story and bright personality saw him quickly make his mark after joining the paper in March of 2010. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Herald Sun reposted this
Last week, myself and my amazing colleagues at the Herald Sun and News Corp Australia launched the first episode of our five-part podcast series The Mushroom Cook. It’s the case that gripped the country and the world. Three people tragically died from alleged mushroom poisoning at a lunch in regional Victoria on July 29 last year. The podcast charts the twists and turns of the meal and looks at the key people involved. It also goes behind the scenes in the newsroom and will follow Erin Patterson in court after she was charged with murder and attempted murder. It’s been a huge team effort and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved - from audio, editorial, video, graphics, social media, marketing and PR. You can listen at themushroomcook.com.au
