J̶u̶m̶b̶o̶ ̶J̶e̶t̶ ̶̶ ✈️ B̶l̶u̶e̶ ̶W̶h̶a̶l̶e̶ 🐋 T̶h̶e̶ ̶S̶t̶a̶t̶u̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶L̶i̶b̶e̶r̶t̶y̶ ̶ 🗽 A Gordon Power Station Stator ⚡️ With years of planning and precision team work, the 173-tonne stator was successfully lifted from the number 2 machine at Gordon Power Station - weighing more than the Statue of Liberty!    The removal of the stator is just one part of a major upgrade currently underway at our mighty Gordon Power Station in the Tassie's southwest. Officially opened in 1978, Gordon Power Station is Tasmania’s largest renewable power generator.    “It’s such a great reflection of all the effort by the team. This month we were joined by The Design Files at Tarraleah Power Station, in Tasmania's Central Highlands. The station was commissioned in 1938, and is just one of thirty hydropower stations across Tasmania, generating clean energy from water 🌧 It's always exciting to welcome someone new to our world of hydropower, alongside our friends at Momentum Energy!
