Exciting News! Infravision just secured a game-changing $23 million USD in Series A funding! Infravision is turbocharging power grid modernization with drone-enabled power line upgrades. The investment partnerships, led by Energy Impact Partners (EIP) and joined by industry giants like Equinor Ventures and Edison International (EIX), will supercharge Infravision's field robotics power line stringing system and intelligent grid monitoring solutions. Their mission? To usher in a clean, secure energy future by accelerating operations across North America and the globe to supercharge power line construction. Founded in 2018 by robotics engineer Cameron Van Der Berg and military veteran Christopher C., Infravision's groundbreaking drone stringing and line monitoring solutions are revolutionizing the energy industry through enabling fast, safe and scalable new construction and upgrades of power lines. “Today marks an incredible milestone for Infravision as we join forces with leading global energy investors to accelerate the decarbonization of the world’s electric grid. It is estimated that 10 million miles of new power lines are required by 2030 to reach net-zero targets. This funding will enable Infravision to invest in building our people and products to service electric utilities and their construction partners to build grid capacity and accelerate the transition to a clean, secure energy future,” said Cameron Van Der Berg, CEO of Infravision. Infravision was on the news!
Here is some coverage from the Seven Network celebrating big wins for innovation, clean energy jobs, and improving transmission construction. Our President of Air Operations Joshua williams hosted Mick de Brenni and got to dive deep on how technology can accelerate the clean energy transition by delivering transmission connection projects more safely, efficiently, and will less impact on landholders than every before. We take a lot of pride in how our collaboration and success on multiple transmission projects with Powerlink Queensland is fostering innovation in Queensland. At Infravision's manufacturing and assembly, not only are we creating jobs for Queenslanders, but we are creating cutting-edge Australian technology, services and capabilities that are being deployed on three seperate continents! Renewable energy is powering green collar jobs on the Sunshine Coast. Local business Infravision has grown to more than 70 employees in under five years, thanks to their partnership with publicly owned Powerlink Queensland. They’re expecting to double in size in the next 12 months as the rollout of renewable projects powers up. Infravision are developing cutting edge drone technology to connect the Queensland SuperGrid. They’re one of many local companies that are benefiting from the jobs and economic opportunities of the clean energy transition.

Infravision’s teams are out there delivering power line stringing solutions safely and at scale. During the Genex Kidston Pumped Hydro project our teams continued to deliver for Powerlink Queensland during multiple hurricane systems, high winds and temperatures in excess of 40 degrees C. We love harsh conditions though, it puts the technology to the test!
We are soaring to new heights with innovative ways to connect renewable projects to the electricity grid. Using drone to connect Genex's Kidston pumped hydro project, we are reducing the impact on landholders and the environment and also making it safer for our teams. At more than 50km, it's an Asia-Pacific record of high voltage electricity lines being strung by a drone. #innovation #technology #drone #aviation #powerlinkqld Infravision Tony Janas CPPD
