We’re pleased to share the news that alongside our network partners, we’ve been awarded funding to develop additional culturally responsive and trauma-informed training for our deadly network staff. It will further support our dedicated teams’ psychosocial wellbeing as they walk alongside Community. Jobs Queensland Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane
Congratulations to the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) for being awarded Queensland Care Consortium (QCC) funding! 🎉 Their funded program ‘Supporting Staff to Support Mob’ aims to deliver culturally responsive and trauma-informed training that equips staff to work alongside First Nations clients and colleagues. IUIH and its partner network of community-controlled health services leads the planning, development and delivery of health and family wellbeing services and employment pathways to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population of South-East Queensland. This deadly team is one of nine organisations to share in $1 million of funding to boost the psychosocial wellbeing of health care and social assistance workforces across Queensland. By 2025-26, it’s projected that Queensland’s health care and social assistance industry will employ more than 480,000 people – that’s over 68,000 more than in 2021-22. Round two of Queensland Care Consortium (QCC) funding aims to help this industry attract and retain staff by funding initiatives that enhance their psychosocial wellbeing. 👉 Discover the projects being funded: https://ow.ly/Qv3p50T4GrJ QCC is funded by Jobs Queensland and powered by the Queensland Workforce Strategy. #QueenslandCareConsortium #JobsQueensland #QldWorkforceStrategy #PeoplePoweringQld
