It was fantastic to have the innovation community come together last week for the launch of the NSW Innovation and Productivity Council’s 2024 Scorecard. The scorecard compares NSW against domestic and international jurisdictions using a range of data sources and metrics to highlight opportunities for the state to improve its productivity performance and economic growth. The scorecard was launched by Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology Anoulack Chanthivong with IPC Chair Charlie Taylor facilitating the panel discussion with the Minister, former University of Wollongong Vice-Chancellor Patricia Davidson, CEO of Vow George Peppou and Investment NSW Deputy Secretary Rebecca McPhee. You can view the NSW Innovation and Productivity Council’s 2024 Scorecard Dashboard and accompanying Companion Report at https://lnkd.in/g4qtFdNU. #InvestmentNSW #Innovation #IPCScorecard

Great news for local suppliers and manufacturers with the NSW Government committing a $2.3 million funding boost for the Industry Capability Network (ICN)! The ICN supports businesses by linking them to projects and manufacturers and so improving their supply chain opportunities. The organisation recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. The funding will ensure more of the state’s businesses are front and centre for new projects and opportunities and can assist in delivering on the NSW Government priorities of net zero, housing and manufacturing. The NSW Government is committed to ensuring NSW is home to globally competitive industries that drive quality jobs and deliver a more resilient economy.
