After celebrating our 40th birthday in May, we are thrilled to share we have successfully merged with Synaco by Synergie, lead by joint Directors, John Alexandrou and Mike Otty. This strategic merger will go into effect today, 1st July, 2024, and we will now operate as ‘’IPA by Synergie’’ combining a legacy of innovation, safety and customer-focused recruitment services with increased national geographic presence, now with the backing from our global parent company, Synergie. This merger presents great opportunities for growth and immediate benefits that our current clients, candidates and staff can look forward to. As exciting as this new merger is, you can expect continuity of service from IPA but with a new level of sophistication. We are still IPA, with the same people and the same operations, championing our ethos of forging lifelong partnerships, transforming ambition into reality by connecting exceptional talent with meaningful opportunities. Joining forces with Synaco by Synergie, we can now offer our combined experience, capability and competence to deliver specialised recruitment solutions across the country. John, Director at Synaco by Synergie, brings over two decades of leadership in Recruitment Services, beginning his journey in 1996. With a Graduate Certificate in Management and recognition as an Accredited Professional Recruiter, John has been a pivotal figure in shaping industry standards, serving as State President for the RCSA and contributing significantly to its executive committee. His expertise spans diverse sectors including Defence, Construction, Government, and Professional Services, reflecting his client-focused approach and commitment to driving strategic growth and partnerships at Synaco since 2013. Outside of work, John's passion for soccer is evident, particularly in his unwavering support for Liverpool FC. Mike, Director at Synaco by Synergie since founding the company in 2012, combines a decade in the industry with a background in Environmental Science and Human Resources Management. His entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment of Synaco, celebrated for connecting top talent with leading companies across Australia. Originally from the UK, Mike proudly calls himself an 'adopted Australian citizen' and enjoys sharing his love for sports, especially with his children and his beloved Crystal Palace FC. Introducing Jerome Lucet, the esteemed International Development Director at Synergie. With a tenure exceeding 17 years at the company's headquarters in France, Jerome plays a pivotal role in steering Synergie's global expansion efforts across 17 countries. His role involves overseeing subsidiary arms of the organisation including Synaco by Synergie and IPA by Synergie. Jerome shares his optimistic perspective on the recent merger between IPA and Synaco: "It is a testimony of the group's (Synergie Global) confidence in the Australian market and our appetite to be 'big' down under. Our ambition is to be one of the key players in the Australian market... ... Last month, the IPA and Synaco family had the pleasure of hosting Jerome Lucet, Synergie’s International Development Director. Jérôme flew into Australia for a week, starting with a visit to the Synaco by Synergie office in Adelaide where he met with Directors Mike Otty and John Alexandrou, as well as the head office team. He then proceeded to Melbourne and Sydney to meet the wider Synaco, S&you Australia, and IPA teams. During his visit, Jérôme oversaw the finalisations of the IPA and Synaco merger and conducted long-overdue meet-and-greets with the recruitment teams. In Melbourne, he also met with key stakeholders from genU, who informally passed the IPA ownership baton to the Synaco and Synergie management team.
