    We're looking for a Payroll Officer to join our Team here at Council. What's on offer: 🕘 Temporary full time, 35 hours per week until 30 April 2025 💲 $63,516 to $76,395 ➕ 11.5% superannuation 🏊 Fitness passport 💪 Flex leave What we're looking for: 🖥️ Experience processing end to end payroll 🖥️ Experience interpreting awards, agreements, contracts of employment and employment legislation 🖥️ High level computer skills including payroll software, Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to produce and interpret reports 🖥️ Well-developed data-entry skills with the ability to enter data accurately and promptly 🖥️ Sound numeracy skills with the ability to complete complex calculations and reconciliations 🖥️ Interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be assertive when required 🖥️ Excellent customer service skills 🖥️ Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member 🖥️ Strong commitment to administrative tasks that are repetitious, and deadline driven.     Kiama Council is now accepting applications for 🏉 Small Community Events and 🤹 Signature Community Events grants. The Small Community Events funding offers up to $500 per eligible applicant aimed at supporting community groups and organisations. The Signature Community Events funding provides up to $7,000 per eligible applicant aimed at supporting events in our LGA.     🔴🟡⚫️ IAS INDIGENOUS TALENT ID DAY ⚫️🟡🔴 Calling all Indigenous, First Nation, Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander school students aged 12-18. Do you have the desire and passion to take your sport to the next level and be further supported on your sporting pathway? Attend the Indigenous Talent ID Day to be identified as a potential IAS Scholarship holder. The day is FREE to attend and lunch will be provided.     🏛️ 👷 Council is investing $75,000 to support the refurbishment and expansion of the clubhouse at Gerry Emery Reserve, Gerringong. ⚽ 🏉 🏏 The Gerry Emery Clubhouse serves the Gerringong Breakers Football Club, Gerringong Jets Cricket Club and the Gerringong Touch Association. 🚽 🚿 🚗 The Gerringong District All Sports Inc (GDAS) is upgrading the clubhouse to provide female and referee change rooms, improved public toilets and car parking and increased equipment storage. ✔️✔️✔️The upgraded amenities will not only benefit club members, players and officials, but the general public as well. 💲💲💲The funding will be provided from Council’s Development Contributions Reserve.

    🏛️ Our current councillors have completed their last official meeting this week, before the local government elections on 14 September 2024. 🏛️Four of our councillors will not be seeking re-election: 👉 Cr Neil Reilly - 2008 to 2024 👉 Cr Warren Steel - 1983 to 1987 and 1999 to 2024 👉 Cr Kathy Rice - 2012 to 2024 👉 Cr Jodi Keast - 2021 to 2024 👉 Cr Karen Renkema-Lang - 2021 to 2024 👍 Our thanks to these councillors for their contribution and commitment over their tenures on Council.
