We’re delighted to announce Stacey Karayannis has been promoted to the role of creative director in Melbourne. Stacey originally joined the industry after graduating from AWARD school, and her work has been recognised at the highest level by Clios, One Show and Spikes. “We’re thrilled to give Stacey this well-deserved promotion to creative director. Over many years, she’s proven to be extremely talented and creatively ambitious. And perhaps more importantly, she really cares about the people and culture of the agency. I’m excited to see her grow as she moves into this new role,” says Andrew Fergusson, Chief Creative Officer.

"I knew I would do something creative from a young age; I didn’t know what. So, I pursued art, graphics, and photography at school, hoping to have some epiphany. That epiphany came when I attended Open Day at RMIT University in Melbourne, where the advertising students’ work was displayed. I remember pointing to the work and saying to my mum, 'That’s what I want to do!'" Our Creative Director, Michelle Walsh, tells Campaign Asia-Pacific what's on her bucket list, what work makes her jealous and all about her game show claim to fame. "I think as an ad, it's just stunning…That kind of stylistic approach is actually what makes it glorious to watch". "It pushes up against all those conventions around sports marketing”. Just some of the things the Gruen panel had to say about our T20 World Cup work for Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios in last week's episode. We had a blast making it, so we were thrilled to hear the panel's reaction. Take a look (episode 4 from 17.30 if you only have a few minutes); we hope you like it too! https://lnkd.in/gyNmF6h3 Thanks Camey O'Keefe, Christina Aventi, Jasmin Bedir and Russel Howcroft.

We knew Bundy had a special place in the hearts of Aussies, but for some (1100 to be precise), that love story was so strong that they were willing to let Bundy fans plan their entire wedding. Every element of the wedding was crowdsourced from the community of die-hard Bundy lovers, resulting in what has to be one of the most weird and wonderful weddings, and a display of the dedication of fandom at its finest. “We wanted to give something back to our community, allow them to be part of the creative process, have some fun along the way and to create something that would drive talkability in a highly competitive market.” - Matthew Miles, Marketing Manager - Rum Portfolio at Diageo “It’s this love for the brand that brings people together. So, we decided to put that love to the ultimate test. A wedding crowdsourced from our weird and wonderful community seemed like a fun, if somewhat insane way to do this. Most importantly however, it felt like a Bundy thing to do.” -Tommy Cehak, Group Creative Director at Leo Burnett Australia. Exciting news this week as we've been shortlisted 8 times at this year's 45th AWARD awards for our work with Bundaberg - 'The Wedding That Fans Built', and Johnnie Walker - 'In Her Boots' and 'The Debutante Ball'. We couldn't be prouder of our work with Diageo, and to have the chance to create meaningful work that champions progress and celebrate the love and dedication of Bundy fans across the nation. #AWARDAwards
