Lion Australia has confirmed that Cameron Mackenzie OLY, Four Pillars’ Founder and Head Distiller, will be parting ways after a decade with the company. Lion’s CEO Sam Fischer added, “After an incredible decade with Four Pillars, founder and Head Distiller, Cameron Mackenzie, has decided it’s time to step away from the business. We are deeply grateful for his vision, passion, and leadership that have shaped Four Pillars into what it is today.” The news of Mackenzie’s resignation follows on from recent personal and product accolades, including his induction into both the Australian Distillers’ Hall of Fame and Gin Magazine’s Hall of Fame, and Four Pillars’ being named the IWSC’s Gin Producer of the Year in 2019, 2020, and 2023 respectively. Diageo Australia has announced key changes to its executive leadership team this morning. This includes the permanent appointment of Nicole Dennis as Commercial Director and the appointment of Jodi McLeod to the newly created Head of Premix Growth executive leadership role.  Another executive leadership change will take place in September with the return of Lisa McElduff as Finance Director, following her tenure in the same role at Diageo Great Britain. TWE to offload its Wolf Blass, Yellowglen, Lindeman’s, and Blossom Hill wine brands🍇🍷 This morning, Treasury Wine Estates announced to the ASX that it intends to divest its Commercial Brand portfolio by recognising a non-cash impairment charge of $290 million after tax in its F24 full-year results. Defined by its sub $10 price point, the Commercial Brands in this portfolio include Wolf Blass, Yellowglen, Lindeman’s, and Blossom Hill. “Following the latest review of the carrying value of the Group’s assets as part of its annual impairment testing process, TWE will recognise a non-cash impairment charge of $354m ($290m post-tax) in its financial result for the year ended 30 June 2024 in relation to the TPB division,” read this morning’s ASX post.
