Our history Medline Australia was established in 2011 and ever since we’ve been putting customers first. But our origins date back more than 100 years to 1910, when – in Chicago – Medline manufactured butcher’s aprons, and soon after, surgical gowns. And the rest is history. Today, Medline is the largest, privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare products in the US, and a thriving $20 billion global enterprise with growing international markets – including Australia and New Zealand. A family-led organisation, Medline is still managed by the fourth generation of the Mills family who started it all in 1910. Earlier this month, one of our very own, Cath Fry, attended the Queensland Cancer Council Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, hosted at Government House. Alongside other fundraisers and contributors, she was celebrated for her unwavering commitment and fundraising efforts in support of the Cancer Council and their vital programs. Over the past 3 years, Cath has raised over $135,000 for the Cancer Council. Later this month, she is hosting her annual fundraiser, raising funds to make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Well done Cath on your honourable dedication to a great cause.

The events were filled with heart-warming moments, including a special guest speaker Alex at our Marsden Park facility, who courageously shared her inspiring journey of being diagnosed with breast cancer 27 years ago. Our team came together for bake-offs, raffles, and meaningful conversations, all driven by a common goal—to make a difference in the fight against cancer. Where best clinical outcome is not compromised, removing plastic from our planet makes sense. In the environment, plastic threatens wildlife, spreads toxins that pollute the food chain, and also contributes to global warming. Almost all plastics are made from chemicals that come from the production of planet-warming fuels (gas, oil and even coal). We can play a part in change, and that is our aim.
