Women's sports are starting to capture more of the spotlight they deserve! 📺 Between 2019 and 2022, media coverage of women’s sports jumped from 5% to 16%, breaking decades of stagnation. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, gender equality reached new heights, with women making up 50% of the athletes. This surge in visibility, fuelled by streaming and social media, is creating a buzz of excitement and inspiring more participation. As we reflect on our athletes' incredible achievements, it's just as important to celebrate historic coaching milestones! 🌟 Rebecca Rippon, a dual Olympian and bronze medalist, made history in Paris as the first female Olympic Head Coach of the Aussie Stingers. With over 265 caps for Australia, Rebecca brought unparalleled experience and passion to the team. Her journey from a decorated player to a pioneering coach was truly inspiring to watch 💧.
