Our 2024 season is in full swing. 🔥 Every Saturday, we host all our Brisbane MRP team games at one club. The atmosphere is incredible when all our teams play together. Become a part of a community that supports each others abilities, not limits.👏🏽 Our games take place just before the rest of the club games start to limit distractions and overstimulation for our players. What an incredible morning it was watching the Modified Rugby Program (MRP) in action! The impact this program has for children is immeasurable, and it was heartwarming to see the community come together to celebrate a game of rugby and friendship. The weather couldn't have been better for the first game of the season. It's moments like these that remind us of the power of sports to bring people together and create positive change. 🏉Join the fun and excitement of our inclusive sports program! Meet Rosie, an inspiring neurodiverse young person who is making an impact on everyone she meets! Rosie is showing the world what she can do, on and off the rugby field with GingerCloud's Modified Rugby Program (MRP). 💙On the rugby field, she is exhibiting sportsmanship and inclusion. She’s not just playing the game; she’s leading by example. Off the field Rosie is motivating, mentoring and encouraging other neurodiverse young people to embrace and live their best life – empowering them to create a community where we all belong! GingerCloud’s MRP is a world-first, person centred, touch-only modified form of rugby union. Neurodiverse young people (7-18+ years) with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD or other learning and perceptual disabilities can play rugby with the support, guidance and friendship of a Volunteer at their local club. We want to ensure our MRP Players experience success and fun. We want every neurodiverse young person to learn, explore and achieve, o Learning how to catch a ball with two hands. o Place the ball with two hands when scoring. o Tag opposing players with two hands. o Pass the ball backwards. o Run forward at all times. o Sportsmanship and teamwork. o How to be consistent. o How to communicate well. o How to help and support others. o How to speak up for yourselves. o Why a routine is important. o Why being on time is important. o Giving and receiving feedback. o Making friends and being social. 📨Positions are still available for the 2024 Season, email [email protected].
