Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale.
About us
Since 2003, Movember has built a global men’s health movement, funding more than 1,300 projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men. Movember has taken on three of the biggest health issues affecting men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide. Movember has: ▪ Invested almost $350 million in over 600 biomedical research projects, focusing on prostate and testicular cancer. ▪ Funded 4 prostate cancer registries, with over 200,000 men enrolled from 23 countries. ▪ Supported interventions designed to assist and guide men through the prostate cancer journey, offering them resources and information so that they are empowered to make their own decisions, manage symptoms and share lived experiences. ▪ Since taking on mental health and suicide as a cause area in 2006, Movember has united experts, funded bold new approaches and embraced fresh perspectives. We’ve focused on prevention, early intervention, and health promotion through a male lens. Movember is for everyone, not just for men. We are a health movement and our invitation to take part is open to everyone. We champion healthcare that is sensitive to the needs of everyone, including men, so that everyone benefits. And we have a strong focus on how improving men's health can have a profoundly positive impact on women, families, and society as a whole. But we lead the charge in encouraging men to adopt healthy behaviours, challenging health systems and confronting gender norms to reduce health inequalities and save more lives. Men's mental health takes centre stage at NSW Parliament. Movember joined the NSW Government at the NSW Men's Mental Health Forum in Sydney, to get real with policymakers and politicians about improving men's health. Thanks to your support, we are working to create more impactful and long-term strategies to improve men's health. Check out our video to see what went down.

We’re stoked to partner with Laureus Sport for Good Foundation USA (Laureus USA) to help bring sports to underserved BIPOC communities in America through their Sport for Good Cities initiative. Over the next 3 years, Movember will invest $750,000 into Laureus USA’s efforts in Chicago and New York City. This funding will improve access to sport and youth development programs, and support positive mental health outcomes for the program participants. Boldly go where no Mo has gone before 👣 As part of our US Adventure Series, these legendary groups took on a physical and mental challenge in support of Movember. One group ventured up Mount Kilimanjaro, climbing a whopping 45 miles over 8 days. While our other set of adventurers trekked through the Andes for 6 days – with a final stop at the top of Machu Picchu. A huge thank you to Embark Exploration Co. for guiding our teams in the right direction, and to these great brands for supplying us with the gear: Oars + Alps and Fabletics. Scotland has the highest rates of premature mortality among men in the UK - the average rate is 26% higher in Scottish constituencies. Men in the least deprived 10% of areas lived on average 14 years longer than those in the most deprived areas. I was on The Nine on BBC Scotland last night talking about our new men's health report and calling for the Scottish government to deliver a men's Health plan (trying to be do my best impersonation of Amy O'Connor who couldn't make it!).

Today marks the launch of our new report, The Real Face of Men's Health, outlining the real picture of men's health and its impact on society. Here's what you need to know: - Men are dying too young from mostly preventable reasons - Where men live has an alarmingly significant impact on how long they live - Men's health impacts everyone, not just men. But there's hope. By improving men's health, we can have a profoundly positive impact on women, families, and society. Healthier men means a healthier world. We've outlined clear steps for positive change, calling on government to step up. Let's change the face of men's health, together. https://bit.ly/4d2T1PB
