Once complete, Golden Plains will be the largest wind farm (1.3GW) in the Southern Hemisphere. Congratulations to Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (MSIP) for the execution of an agreement to acquire a 49% interest in the Onslow Iron Road Trust, which will own a 150km dedicated private haul road between the Onslow Iron ore project and the Port of Ashburton. MSIP will acquire its 49% interest from Mineral Resources Limited for a total consideration of up to A$1.3 billion. Mineral Resources is the 60% owner of the Onslow Iron project and will remain a 51% holder in the Onslow Iron Road Trust. We are delighted to have acted as debt underwriter to the proposed acquisition with the support of White & Case LLP (legal counsel).
