Last evening, the Neuwo team presented at the CivVic Labs: Transport Access Challenge Showcase event along with an amazing cohort of nine other startups and what an incredible journey it’s been, learning and growing with like minded founders! 🚀

Nothing makes me happier than watching my founders pitch to a room full of people that can't stop singing their praises. And last night, I couldn't stop grinning as I watched our 10 amazing founders at the LaunchVic x Department of Transport and Planning CivVic Labs Showcase, blow it out of the water, pitch after pitch . . . to a room full of potential investors, collaborators and startup stalwarts. Every person I spoke to after the pitches commented on how exceptional they were. But only the founders, Mark Newman and I know what it has taken for them to go from an idea to a tangible workable business in a mere short 6 weeks. The several pivots, invalidations, frustrations, scrapped ideas, coming up with new ones and doing it all over again until they find the right one. It's intense but ask the founders and they will tell you they love it all! Some are even seriously contemplating becoming corporate dropouts like me 😃 Big congratulations to our amazing founders, for doing a brilliant job throughout the 6 weeks, especially last night! - Button Technology by Jason Woelfl - Care2Travel by Hakeem Quadri & Ashish Manchanda - Decision through Holistic Intelligence by @Hannah Fraser, Kenn Rodrigues & Harsh Joshi - microFleet® by Al Reid - Navability by Ali Kafaei & Mohit Singh - Neuwo by Saumya Mutneja & Kuldeep Jangid - PaxMesh by Jess Pietsch - Rampey by Jay Davey & Damien Irving - Sprightly by Brett Werner - waypal by mahsa azimzadeh & Arian Sohi So proud of this bunch and can't wait to see all the amazing things they achieve from here ❤️ Jumpstart Studio #startupsstarthere #founders #startuplife

As per the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 30% of the Australian population is neurodivergent, and the overstimulating nature of public transport remains a key barrier restricting their movement. We at Neuwo, believe transport systems should adapt to the diverse needs of its users and we spent the last six weeks addressing this challenge at CivVic Labs, LaunchVic's program connecting startups and the public sector. We had the opportunity to engage with the neurodivergent community to understand their experience and challenges using public transport in Victoria. The program facilitated by the expertise of Sangeeta Mulchandani and Mark Newman helped us develop a co-design approach and gave us the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders from the Department of Transport and Planning, transport operators, advocates and mentors from the startup ecosystem to inform our research. As we wrap up our stint with CivVic Labs, we are very excited to present our solution and connect with some brilliant minds from Melbourne.
