The 2024 Paralympic Games launches early tomorrow morning with the opening ceremony and hats off to the NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) the team and support staff, who have invested so much time and effort to help lead our state’s top athletes to glory in Paris! 🏊♀️🏀🏹🐎 The Australian Paralympic Committee will send 160 athletes to the Paris Games, with NSWIS scholarship holders making up 15% of the team and NSWIS athletes competing in 10 of the sports at the Games, including archery, athletics, boccia, canoe sprint, cycling, equestrian, rowing, swimming, triathlon and wheelchair basketball. Some highlights from our Olympic-themed organisation wide NSWIS Update, where we celebrated the incredible achievements of our athletes and recognised our selected Paralympic athletes. A French-inspired lunch added to the festivities, enjoyed by all. A special part of the presentation was hearing from our very own Chris Bradley (Psychologist) and NSWIS Alumni and newly appointed Stingers head coach Bec Rippon. They shared powerful stories and insights from their campaigns - complements of the interview by Daniel Lane.
