A Storm is coming!

A little update on Storm GeoSpatial.
I knocked this together with Storm GeoSpatial. The process was to grab data from DEM (digital elevation map) and use Storm to ingest it. Then, I ran the Storm terrain generator to convert it to Unity terrain. I used Gaia to procedurally texture and add water, lighting, etc, with a couple of clicks. I added some roads with GeNa, then a Storm procedural biome, and pressed play. There are still a few rough edges, but you will do big real-world environments in any style in minutes when this is all bedded down. Rather cool! #madewithunity #proceduralgeneration #geospatial #gis

We launched Gaia in 2015 and proved there was a market for well-crafted and supported world development tools. This is the 4th major release of Gaia, and we have an amazing new acceleration tool called Storm landing soon as well.. imagine being able to run an open world #unity scene at between 3x and 100x the frame rate, with vastly increased draw distances. It would almost seem like the perfect companion to Gaia.... maybe there is some method in our madness :) #madewithunity #indiedev #indiegamedev
