The bread is warm, crusty, and the perfect complement to their dishes—an offer most customers find irresistible. The cost for the restaurant is minimal, but the value to the customer is substantial. Many diners can't resist adding the bread to their meal, turning a simple offer into a staple that not only enhances the client experience but also drives consistent additional income. Now, if the restaurant asks 100 customers daily and 60% say yes. That’s $65,700 in extra revenue annually from just a simple question. This week Darren Smith and I had the absolute pleasure of presenting a three hour workshop at Infocus (Australia) HQ to 20 of their financial advice firms at the annual Business Leaders Forum. I'm expecting some 'shade' on this presentation title from certain connections who think the term 'future proof' is fear-mongering. I did actually present on disruption for the first time ever 😲 but I'm confident it was anything but negative. I loved that the open forum topics were all items that would have been asked 50+ years ago too... like: * How to get alignment among business partners * Best practices for offering equity to team members * How to mitigate against unplanned exits of key people * How to reduce the reliance on the owner Huge thank you to the Infocus team for including us as part of the agenda. The culture of the HQ team and the client community was so positive it was impossible to ignore what a welcoming environment and great business that is.
