Over the past couple of weeks, our staff and athletes have been sharing their Olympic insights at our 'Powering Paris' breakfast series 🥐 Behind the scenes there are teams of people, countless hours, specialised skill sets, purpose-built technology and calculated strategies that go into an athlete performance which is years in the making. It's been amazing for staff to attend these sessions and get a small glimpse of that work. Thank you to our staff members Andrew Schacht OLY, Eileen Robertson, Brett Aitken OAM and Sian Barris, and athletes Tayte Ryan, Tayla Brazel and Lachie Davis for running these sessions.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 – 𝗦𝗔𝗦𝗜 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮-𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 We're seeking a Para-Sport Transition Coach - a new position which will play a lead role in the identification, recruitment and support of para-athletes who have the potential to perform at a high level and work with para-athletes to find the sport which best aligns with their interests, strengths and skillset. This is an exciting new position which will play a direct role in uncovering and nurturing our future Paralympic stars! This is a OPS3 position with an annual salary of $67,589 to $72,033. The Australian Centre for Sports Aerodynamics has officially opened in South Australia 💨 Propelling athletes to Paris and beyond, this world-class wind tunnel is a game changer for Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls. Today, we had the pleasure of working with NSW Institute of Sport snowboarder James Johnstone who is preparing for the 2026 Winter Olympics 🏂 The State Government has invested $12 million in this facility and this was further supported by project partner the Australian Institute Of Sport who invested $3 million. #poweringgreatness

As SASI heads into a new exciting chapter, an Athlete Advisory Group (AAG) has been established so members can share their insights and advice. Eight athletes have been announced as part of the group, representing the views and interests of their peers, around matters that affect SASI athletes’ experiences in high-performance sport.
