We'd like to give a shoutout to two of our wonderful partners! Following our recent post, we'd like to give another huge thank you to Lotus People and SustainRecruit, especially for providing our team with pro-bono office space near Wynyard and Barangaroo this year. These two teams have been so accommodating and supportive, allowing our fundraising team and SSH staff the space to work together in person, collaborate, and enjoy their beautiful offices. Both organisations have donated endless time and resources to support our programs and young people and are both avid teams at our fundraising events, such as Sleep Under the Stars, Step by Step, and the SSH regatta. Combined, they've helped support dozens of young people in our programs, helping us to provide them with accommodation and a safe place to call home. With the Lotus People team moving to their new office space last month, we presented them with a certificate thanking them for all they've done over the years. Shoutout to some Inner West legends! We'd like to give a big thank you to Maths Words Not Squiggles for providing space at one of their tutoring centres. With some big growth across our service in the past few months, many more team members have been moving around at our refuges. In need of desk space nearby during the day our CEO, Jason Juretic, reached out to the wonderful team at MWNS, who were more than happy to help out in the interim while we secure a new space. Our last in-person Insight Tour for 2024 at the Bawaga House! It was fantastic to connect and reconnect with attendees, from curious volunteers to partners and all those in between. In these tours, we go through the state of youth homelessness in Australia, what we're doing about it, and our impact. Yesterday, the tour was led by Daniel Hockey with support from Jason Juretic. Plus, we were also joined by one of our Youth Advocates, Patrick, who spoke and shared his story. Thank you to the people who came along, we hope it was worthwhile. HUGE THANK YOU to the Property Industry Foundation! This first pic here is from an Impact Day we held with PIF earlier this year, featuring a volunteer in their tee, 'I'm here for homeless youth,' and truly, they are! After witnessing the need for some new appliances first-hand, the foundation has donated four new washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers across our houses since May. These household necessities might not seem all too exciting, but they really make a difference, making these houses more functional homes for the young people at Stepping Stone House.
