THREE CHEERS FOR VOLUNTEERS This week marks National Volunteer Week, and to celebrate, SUANFC acknowledges all the incredible volunteers that are the heart of this club and the heart of all sport across the country!! SUANFC is extremely lucky to have a fantastic group of passionate, dedicated and exceptional volunteers, working week in week out to make sure the club performs on and off the field, and we thank each and everyone of those people who put in so much of their time. From game day volunteers, club umpires, coaches, water runners, board members, team managers and so many more- we cannot be more thankful to all the incredible people who work unbelievably hard; your commitment keeps this club running, and makes SUANFC what it is!! 2024 SEASON LAUNCH Last Friday we hosted our annual Season Launch at our major sponsor venue Nags Head Hotel, Glebe. It was fantastic to welcome so many players, coaches, family, friends and sponsors to a wonderful evening, where we were able to all come together as a club community to celebrate and congratulate the appointed club coaches for 2024 as well as the Senior Club Captains and Leadership groups We heard from our senior coaches and Club President as they provided everyone with a preview of what is no doubt going to be a big and successful season for SUANFC on and off the field!! With the season now officially launched, and commencing in just over a week- we look forward to seeing everyone down at Oval No.1 and around the grounds for a big season 2024!!

Last Friday 10th November, we attended the 2023 Blues Dinner hosted by Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness!! It was a spectacular evening that showcased all of the incredibly talented Student Athletes, as well as acknowledged the the outstanding contributions of long serving volunteers. It was a particularly exciting evening for the club as our very own, Liz Hawtin, received a Gold Award for recognition of all of the time she has committed to the club over the many years, and all of the work she puts in to make the club what it is. How fantastic also that we could share the evening with some of our friends and supporters from our naming rights sponsor, Growthbuilt!

SEASON 2023   What a season 2023 was! We could not be prouder of this club, every single person involved with it, and all of their incredible achievements this year! This club is so lucky to be filled with incredible footballers and incredible people! A massive shout out and CONGRATULATIONS to all of our 11 amazing teams that took the field this year, and made the club extremely proud every time they did! Every club member should be extremely proud of everything that they have achieved on and off the field this year! MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to our U19s Division 1 team who took out the 2023 Premiership after an undefeated season, making them back to back premiers INCREDIBLE WORK for our Men’s Premier Division Reserves who fought it out in an extremely close and tough Grand Final match, giving it their all until the very end and finishing the season Runners Up AMAZING SEASON for our U19s Div 2 team who, after a slow start to the season, managed to put together a number of wins and make it all the way to the Grand Final, going down in an extremely tough match and finishing Runners Up WONDERFUL ACCOMPLISHMENT to our Mens Premier Division team, Womens Premier Division team and Men's Platinum Reserves team Women ’s Division 4 team; all making it into the finals series Thank you to all the coaches, volunteers, medical support staff, team managers and everyone in between who worked so hard behind the scenes and continued to go above and beyond all year to ensure the teams were ready each week to leave it all on the field!! And thank you to all the club supporters for being there to cheer the teams on around the grounds each week!
