Last Friday, our Chief Executive Natalie O'Brien AM took the stage at the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) Melbourne Tourism Leadership Program, sharing her journey from challenges to triumphs and everything in between. This program is all about shaping the next wave of tourism leaders, and Natalie offered valuable insights on career progression, finding inspiration, and bringing out the best in every team. It was an inspiring day, and we’re thrilled to have been a part of it! Big thanks to VTIC for the opportunity and everyone who attended. #MCEC #VTIC #MTLP

In July, we proudly welcomed our new Chief Financial Officer, David Metcalfe, to MCEC. Yesterday, David had the pleasure of kicking off the Committee for Melbourne Leadership Luncheon, where AIA Australia’s CEO, Damien Mu, inspired attendees with insights on being a purpose-led organisation. David echoed this sentiment, sharing how MCEC isn’t just a venue—it’s a trusted, inclusive space where ideas ignite, communities connect, and legacies are built. Aligned with our purpose, we recently launched our Accessibility Action Plan, ensuring MCEC remains a welcoming place for all. Yesterday, as we also hosted the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Conference, we’re reminded of our commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and creating spaces where everyone can participate and thrive. Thank you to the Committee for Melbourne and Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for organising the event and for everyone who joined! #MCEC

Yesterday, we hosted the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Conference (AITCAP) with GetAboutAble, and it was an absolute standout! From accessible tourism to inclusive marketing and global perspectives, the speakers and industry leaders dove into it all. Our own Chief Strategy and Governance Officer, Rohan Astley, was featured on the panel at the Melbourne Accessibility Showcase, sharing how we’re weaving accessibility into every corner of our venue—and what’s next on the horizon. We’re buzzing with pride that our venue was the stage for such an impactful event! #MCEC
