AUKUS | In a first for the AUKUS partnership, a group of Royal Australian Navy enlisted sailors have graduated from the United States Navy’s Basic Enlisted Submarine School in Groton, Connecticut. The sailors all graduated with distinction, with RAN SN MacKinley named the Honor Graduate for scoring 100% in the class. The graduation follows the first three Royal Australian Navy officers who completed their training at the U.S. Navy’s Submarine Officer Basic Course in April 2024 and reported to Virginia-class submarines based in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Nearly 100 Royal Australian Navy officers and enlisted personnel will enter the submarine and U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion trainings this year. And we know that we can maximize that opportunity, we can maximize the good that we’re able to deliver – for our people in our countries but also throughout the region – by working together, by pooling our resources, our ideas, and actually demonstrating results, and that’s really what the Quad is all about." -- U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken at the Quad Ministerial Meeting in Tokyo, Japan, today.

PERTH | Charge d’Affaires Erika Olson, Consulate Perth team members and an advance team of sailors from USS Emory S Land volunteered at Foodbank WA today. Food banks originated in the U.S. state of Arizona in the 1960s, and we’re so pleased the idea has spread around the world. We hope our efforts provide some relief for those in the WA community needing support. 📸 Photo album: flic.kr/s/aHBqjBBpiT
