Enriching community experiences through reimagining the future of leading retail destinations across Australia.

About us

From Chadstone to Karratha, and Chatswood to Elizabeth, Vicinity’s destinations span the breadth of our great sunburnt country. Our destinations serve as important hubs for our communities, whether it’s in housing essential grocery stores or pharmacies, offering Australia’s largest collection of luxury retail brands, or providing a spot to share a bite with family and friends with places to dine offering cuisine from every corner of the planet. We are at the forefront of our industry, challenging ourselves to create the future of Australian living. Our destinations are evolving, delivering on a mixed-use strategy to offer new experiences to maintain their market-leading positions. We’re on an exciting journey to build mini-cities, adding residential and hotel living, commercial office space and leisure activities to our leading retail and dining options. We manage over 2.5-million square metres of leasable space and with such a large footprint, we know our commitment to sustainability can have a real impact on the everyday lives of our communities. Our sustainability journey is never-ending but to date has seen us focus on social sustainability in the form of a Modern Slavery Statement and responsible procurement policies, and on environmental sustainability with our market-leading $75-million investment in solar energy systems at more than 20 destinations nationally, and waste reduction practices. With so much going on, change is the only constant at Vicinity, and we love it!

Nepean Village welcomes two firsts 🎉 It’s been a busy few weeks at Nepean Village, with the centre opening the first NSW outlet of renowned St Kilda burger bar, Fat Jak's, closely followed by a portfolio-first Body Fit Training (BFT) space. Fat Jak's opened to queues out of the door and down the street, with 300 locals taking advantage of opening day burger giveaways. At BFT, it was a similar story with more than 150 people signing up for their famous group fitness memberships on opening weekend. The two openings are another example of Vicinity teams working together to carefully curate a retail mix that's sure to be popular with the Nepean Village community. If you had a blank canvas, what kind of shopping centre would you curate? That was the opportunity for Rebecca Tibbott and our Leasing team a couple of years ago with many leases set to expire and an opportunity to implement a new positioning strategy. As Rebecca puts it: "There had been a lot of research that suggested customers were looking for more than just fashion when shopping in the city. They wanted to stop, linger, enjoy great food and be entertained. "Using the insights, we started to add more experiential and lifestyle retailers, land more CBD flagships, and a introduce a more sophisticated, premium mix in general."
