Volleyball WA is the governing body of the sport of volleyball in Western Australia. It is not for profit organisation devoted to fostering the sport of volleyball in WA through competitions, development programs, high performance programs, coaching courses, refereeing courses, events and social activities. VWA also supplies the volleyball community in WA with a variety of volleyball products and equipment for sale or hire and manages the fully lit Inner City Beach (ICB) facility that can be hired 24 hours. Athletes wearing new uniforms with commissioned Aboriginal artwork represent a milestone for Volleyball Western Australia in honouring Indigenous culture. We are grateful for the opportunity for Steel athletes to proudly wear these new uniforms, representing not just their team but also the spirit of the community they belong to. Some members of our Perth Steel team attended What Ability Day last Sunday and had a fantastic time. Josh Brown, the VWA Diversity and Inclusion coordinator, was pleased to have the team's support during the event saying, "The recent What Ability Day received strong support from members of both Men's and Women's Perth Steel. It was amazing to witness individuals with disabilities, along with their families and support workers, engaging with the players and trying out volleyball, often for the first time! The event organizers expressed great appreciation for Perth Steel's involvement and the positive response to our volleyball activities" We can't wait to take part again!
This past weekend we held our State League Grand Final. Both matches were an exceptional showcase of Volleyball in the State.
