Our team had the pleasure of visiting social enterprise grant partner Dismantle Inc. in Perth earlier in the month to learn more about their ReNew program, a gardening and landscaping social enterprise supporting at-risk young people in WA to enter the workforce. ⚒ We are thrilled to announce that Westpac Foundation is extending our Social Enterprise Grant to Dismantle of $200,000 over two years and are excited to continue supporting this amazing initiative that has created over 60 employment opportunities annually for at-risk-youth. ✨ Want to learn more about Dismantle and their amazing work? ➡ www.dismantle.org.au * * Amy Lyden Sally McGeoch Lisa Waldron Pat Ryan Jared Orchard Carlton Higgs

Australia is often hailed as a land of freedom and opportunity, so it might surprise you to learn that right now at least 41,000 people are enslaved across the continent. Meet Sally Irwin, Founder and Managing Director of The Freedom Hub, an organisation dedicated to combating this hidden issue and creating a world of freedom by ending modern slavery. Focusing on empowerment through trauma-informed care and bespoke success plans, we're proud to support the Freedom Hub with their efforts in raising awareness with businesses about managing the risk of modern slavery in supply chains. 👏 Read Sallys' full interview with Westpac Wire 👉 https://rb.gy/25u3bn

High-vis, steel-capped boots and blue skies – those elements set the scene for filming the story of Green Connect Illawarra's Ethical Labour Hire Service which we'll be sharing as part of our 2024 marketing support package. In partnership with Weld Stories, our marketing package is designed to help our social enterprise partners tell their stories and showcase the incredible work they do in the community. Filming took place at Hanson Australia's Bass Point Quarry, as well as the Green Connect Farm in Warrawong. Turns out, Green Connect's team aren't just great workers, they're also stars in front of the camera! #SocialEnterprise #BusinessForGood #Sustainablity
