As Zepto moves into its next phase of growth, a strategic decision has been made to unbundle its Risk & Compliance and Legal functions. We're delighted to announce that Skye Roberts has been named Head of Risk & Compliance. Skye joined Zepto in early 2022 in the role of Senior Legal Counsel, and was quickly promoted to Head of Legal. In this new structure, she will lead Compliance, Risk, Fraud and Financial Crime, reporting directly to CEO, Chris Jewell. "Risk culture and governance are always front of mind at Zepto and are foundations to our success. I am thrilled to be taking on this impactful role and work with our amazing team at Zepto," said Skye. A brilliant few days in the Lone Star State for Zepto's Rich Miller🎗️ and Tell Mueller-Pettenpohl at Fintech Devcon in Austin. The annual Fintech Devcon conference is dedicated to educating and empowering fintech builders, and Team Zepto embraced it with gusto. According to Rich, highlights included: > Matt Harris from Bain Capital Ventures discussing how Generative AI may upend banking. > Fereshteh Forough, Afghan social activist and the CEO and founder of Code to Inspire (CTI), who is tackling gender inequality with the first coding school for girls in Afghanistan. Fereshteh is an advocate for the empowerment of women in developing countries through digital literacy, education, and financial independence. > Distinguished Google engineer and widely recognised Kubernetes expert, Kelsey Hightower, talking about cutting-edge technology infrastructure, how to get things done and build great culture. Rich noted some additional highlights like, "Hanging out with Tell and trying to get to each of his recommended restaurants in three days (we failed dismally), an unvanquished mechanical bull, and technology talks that were way too geeky to explain in this LinkedIn post."
