Society is facing transitions and new complex challenges at a rate never seen before. The nature of these problems are open, complex, dynamic and networked and require a different response. They require a different way of thinking than the thinking used when we created them.

The CISI program is designed for people who recognise the need, and are ready to make the leap into thinking in different and innovative ways.

The CISI challenges people to identify the underlying values at play in complex scenarios and then combine practices from many fields in order create innovative ways of thinking and approaching problems.

The Unstereotype Alliance aims to tackle harmful stereotypes in advertising and media content, and use advertising as a force for good by depicting progressive portrayals of all people, and ensuring diversity is a priority throughout the entire creative process.
The Australian chapter has the strategic objective: To adopt an intersectional approach to progressive portrayals of all people, and address the diverse representation of gender, race, ethnicity (particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples), disability and age in media and advertising content.

When we created the Mentally-Healthy Change Group the scale of the problem we faced was clear. More than half of our industry were displaying mild to severe signs of anxiety and depression. These people are our friends, our colleagues and our inspirations – in fact, in many cases, they’re us.

There are a number of ways to tackle mental health in our industry. One of the first initiatives we have launched is "Minimum Standards". A set of industry rules to live by. These standards are the bare minimum that we believe is reasonable for organisations to provide a safe and supportive workplace for the mental wellbeing of its people. Some of them are sourced straight from legislation. Others have been tested with leaders and business owners in our industry to ensure that they can not be argued.

These standards are written to set the absolute minimum that we expect of employers in our industry. We invite every company in our industry to read, sign, adopt and embed them. If you work for someone that hasn’t signed yet, please share this page with them.

Catherine Bowe proved more than up to the challenges of 2020, by rewriting the marketing script overnight and pioneering a series of innovative global projects for Facebook.

Her efforts powered business growth and supercharged commercial results.

When other marketing initiatives proved unworkable, she changed course fast and in just 72 hours Marketers In Pyjamas was born.

A collaboration between Facebook and TRIBE and hosted by Jules Lund, it became one of the most memorable and engaging marketing initiatives, delivering serious results for Facebook.
This light-hearted webinar series provided insights and inspiration from global marketing leaders, direct from their homes, including Professor Mark Ritson, ex-Unilever Global CMO Keith Weed, Coles’ Lisa Ronson and the ABC’s Leisa Bacon.

But Bowe’s biggest piece of needle-moving work in 2020 was the creation of Curated ANZ, an inspirational hub featuring stories of the people, brands and ideas that shape culture, which saw a significant increase in brand preference and on-platform awareness lift off the back of the campaign.

Bowe also joined the Black SMB Grants Program taskforce as a volunteer, helming the comms and marketing strategy, producing a toolkit, fact sheet, presentations and external posts.

This program provided over $75m more to more than 10,000 Black-owned SMBs.

She supported charity UnLtd through judging and mentoring, and judged the B&T Awards.
