I think like a business person, with the heart of a designer, and my superpower is the ability to create and communicate across the lifecycle of a product, by building effective teams towards the same goal — from facilitating a design team through every step of product design and research process, to aligning business goals with innovative product strategy.
My name is Jacalin. I am a business designer, design leader, educator, and entrepreneur.
I assist organisations to turn their biggest, wildest ideas into long-term viable products. I have worked with start-ups, enterprises, media and digital product agencies in New York, Vancouver, Tokyo, Singapore and now back home in Sydney, Australia.
I have built a side hustle business that turn over multi six figure revenue. Through out this business venture, we've supported 450+ girls to school in West Africa.
My life value has always been the love for uplifting others. I design and facilitate career growth courses, mentor designers and coach design teams. So far I've coached 10,000+ designers worldwide and counting.
I act as a Design Lead on Demand for design teams looking to increase product/design maturity. The outcome I bring to these teams are: streamlined team productivity, empowered design process, supportive design feedbacks and clarified design career frameworks.

ADPlist was born during COVID19 when a lot of talented designers have lost their job. Another great initiate to help those transitioning in between careers, as well as connecting them to companies who are still hiring.

During COVID19 Pandemic 2020, Australia announced locked down from mid-March. On that very same day, out of curiosity, I ran a search to find out that there isn't any well designed digital product out there to help those in need of support during this sudden change. One day I came across "The Good Neighbour" Facebook group thinking maybe I can offer some help. Lisa who set up the Facebook page has put a call out for ideas input to help people. I immediately pm'd Lisa: "Lisa, I can help you…

On that very same day, out of curiosity, I ran a search to find out that there isn't any well designed digital product out there to help those in need of support during this sudden change. One day I came across "The Good Neighbour" Facebook group thinking maybe I can offer some help. Lisa who set up the Facebook page has put a call out for ideas input to help people. I immediately pm'd Lisa: "Lisa, I can help you build a prototype in 4 days" I said.
Over night, we had a Slack channel with 30 volunteers. Within a week, we had about 60+ volunteers. 3 days later, "One Another Community" 1st prototype was born, the rest is history. My responsibilities are:
- Managed 1-10 creative between product and brand
- Create and Built prototypes
- MVP strategies
- Brought in a team to support Product (UX, UX writers, Research, UI)
- Drive creative direction for the brand
- Created guidelines so that our volunteers have a focal point -
